 David is presently working in the San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Fransisco bay areas.

David G. Stowell is a Multi-media artist, with a focus in fine art paintings,murals,trompe L'oeil,and graphic art.
His styles vary from abstract to realism,and everywhere in between.
He first studied as an art major at Westfield State College, Westfield Ma. After two years study, David moved to Palo Alto, Ca. and continued art classes at San Jose State, and De Anza College,
Cupertino, Ca. He then also began study privately with renowned Impressionist Michael Linstrom.
At that time David developed his impressionistic style in oils, of portrait, landscape, and still life.
He began showing in galleries and restaurants in the Santa Cruz,Ca., and Monterey areas.
Also he had begun painting signs,graphics and ads.
In the mid eighties David moved to Santa Fe, N.M., where he started work in film and commercials set painting.
Set painting for the movie, Independence in 1987, and Desperado,also 1987, produced by Sunn Classics Pictures, at Eves Ranch, a location where western movies have been made since the sixties, near Santa Fe. N.M.
David started work in 1989, with Photographer Aaron Jones, and others, painting sets for many commercials.
Clients including Suzuki Motorcycles, Coors Beer, and Sweet and Low, to name a few.
Learning the art of set painting,and faux finishing, he continued to work in the Santa Fe, N.M. for the next ten years.
Following this period moving to Tucson, Az., where he began Scenic painting with the Sonora Theater Works on the play
"The Nutcracker." Always continuing to expand his abilities and incorporating new techniques in the fine art.
Mid nineties, David returned to the San Francisco bay area where he began work with many Designers, developing the art of "Faux finish." Presently he is living in the San Diego,Ca, always painting, using all these art forms and techniques in concert to create a Full Spectrum of Art.
